Helping everyone enjoy the water

For anyone working with people with a disability or caring for a disabled person there is a free course available this Friday covering the support of disabled people in aquatic environments.

The training is being provided as part of the NSW Surf Life Saving grants and is a goodopportunity for people to receive great training and skills.

Employers covering wages will get a rebate upon areceipt of an invoice to a set limit.

The one day training course runs on Friday, January 22 from 8.30am to 4.30pm at the Pambula Surf Life Saving Club and Sapphire Aquatic Centre.

The course is being run by experienced trainers, Michele and Peter Bootes. Michele has been recognised for her work with the club’s Special Nippers.

The course covers aquatic safety, first aid in an aquatic environment, communications, medical conditions with aquatic activities and aquatic activities for pool and ocean.
