Car rally a classic on Australia Day

The cars will beon show from 7.30am until the rally runs start at 10.30am.

Hosted by the Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club, the event issponsored by Redland City Council.

Invitations are sent to historic motor vehicle clubs acrossQueensland andnorthern New South Wales.

More than 700 vehicles are expected to be tuned and shined to perfection before theyarrive on the day.

They range from the early 1900s up to the late 1970s.

The vehicles will be on display to the publicatOrmiston State School, with entryvia Wellington Street.

Entry to the car rally is free to the general public.

Raffle tickets will be sold in support of Sailability, an organisation that provides sailing opportunities to people with disabilities.

After the display and breakfast, four separaterally runs will be held around the Redlands area from 10.30am.

A range ofawards will be presented to deserving ownersafter the runs.

The presentations will be made during alunch at Redlands SportingClub, Anson Road,Wellington Point.
